Did you know? Borgward was the brand name for a group of the automotive industry. Under this name from 1939 to 1963 have been produced passenger cars and trucks. The namesake was Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Borgward which drove the company into insolvency with its slogan "5 minutes before I get any money, I already spend it" so that in 1961 the company was handed over to the state of Bremen. Carl F. W. Borgward died in 1963. Since 2015, there are attempts to revive the brand.
