1. Payment / processing:

If you have ordered a download article (e-book / PDF file) your personal download will be activated in your customer account after receipt of payment! For this reason it is imperative that you create a customer account during the ordering process, e-books cannot be purchased without a customer account. When paying by PayPal, credit card or immediate bank transfer the activation takes place immediately. With all other payment methods the activation takes place on working days (Monday to Friday) after receipt of your payment on our account. In this case you will be informed again separately by email from our system as soon as your download has been activated in your customer account. Please note that payment on account is not possible for e-books.


2. How to get to your download:

2.1 Download via e-mail download link

You will receive an e-mail from our system immediately after receipt of payment which will contain your download links. If you cannot find the e-mail please check the SPAM/JUNK folder in your e-mail account.
IMPORTANT! In order to be able to use the download link in the e-mail you must be logged into your customer account. If you are not logged in the download link will take you to our login page. Please enter your login data there which you have stored for your customer account. After this the download process will then start automatically.

2.2 Download via your customer account

If there is a problem with sending the e-mail you can alternatively download the e-books you have ordered in your customer account.
When downloading via your customer account please go to our Homepage. There you click on "ACCOUNT" at the top right.

If you haven't already logged into your customer account please log in with your email address and password.

Then click on "open" into the desired order under "Orders & Downloads".

On the next page you click on the green button "To my downloads" or scroll down manually until you see your downloads.

This takes you to the overview of the e-books you have purchased.

All activated download items can be downloaded by using the green download button. If there is a red button displayed you are either not yet activated for the download, the availability period has expired or you have already used all download attempts.

2.3 More information to download

ATTENTION! As soon as you have made the download the execution of the contract has started. Our system records this process. At this moment the right of withdrawal expires prematurely! Please read more about this in our Right of withdrawal. If you have changed your mind you can only revoke your consent as long as you have not yet completed the download.

RECOMMENDATION! Use an up-to-date Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browser to avoid problems. Carry out the download on a desktop PC or notebook with a fixed Internet connection this makes it easier for you to save and back up the data. On mobile devices (tablet, smartphone, etc.) we recommend that you only download with a connection to a stable WLAN. Mobile Internet can lead to problems with insufficient reception or used data volume on which we have no influence.


3. Period of time for download articles:

You have 30 days after purchase to complete the download. You have the opportunity to start the download 10 times for all download articles so if something goes wrong with the first download attempt you have some more attempts. After our system has determined that you have successfully completed at least one download you will automatically receive the invoice for your purchase by email.


4. System Requirements:

All of our e-books / pdf files / download articles can be opened easily on any computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.. The operating system (Windows, Mac, Android, IOS, etc.) is irrelevant. Only Adobe Acrobat Reader should be installed on your device. If this is not the case you can download the program or app easily and free of charge using the following links:

5. How to save download articles:

Please note that you are responsible for backing up the purchased download items. You can copy the downloaded content on your system as you like and also use it on any other systems you may have as long as you do not infringe the copyright (an infringement of copyright would be for example the resale and the associated duplication of the downloaded digital content). KFZ-Verlag GmbH is not responsible for data loss on your systems so please back up all downloaded content on external media like USB sticks.


6. Printing e-books:

Our e-books are intended purely for viewing on the screen and are therefore blocked from being printed. Furthermore all our e-books are provided with a transparent watermark in the background on every page. The printout - even in part - of e-books is not possible for private or commercial purposes. If you want to print out the ordered digital documents please do not buy an e-book because printing is not possible / allowed.


7. Problems when opening an e-book:

If you encounter the problem that you cannot open an e-book on your system it is because you are using an app or program that does not meet the specified criteria for opening our e-books. Programs that do not support the copy protection of our e-books often indicate that you need a password to open them. In this context there are often display errors so that some graphics or texts are not displayed correctly. Please read our point 4 system requirements carefully to solve the problem. The problem is solved if you use Adobe Acrobat Reader as app to open pdf files you then do not need a password to open our e-books and all content will be correctly displayed.
